Hy , I have http://www.virtualdub.org/beta/DShowInputD...Driver-0.93.zip installed, and using vd 1.9.11, but when I click on the flv file , VirtualDub error message says "The file"c:\videoclip.flv" is of an unknown file type."
is there an flv plugin I need as well ?? and if so please can you send me the link ? Im using windows 8 , 64bit .
I have set the ffdshow to libavcodec - see here -

however when I try to run VFW configuration, nothing happens, does this mean the ffdshow maybe corrupt ? should I download and re-install ffdshow again ? |

You need to associate the .flv extension with the plugin. Currently this is a manual process since the way that DirectShow does file detection doesn't mesh well with VirtualDub's process.
In older versions of VirtualDub, change the drop-down in the Open dialog to the DirectShow input plugin, and once the file is opened, go to File > File Information to get to the config dialog that lets you add filename extensions. In newer versions, Options > Plug-ins cam be used instead. |
