Hi! everyone, I had a video that was 720X480, I cropped the said video and the final size was 320X280. I had exported this video in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0. I noticed that the video was very small with a large black border around it. I'm totally confused about the size of a video after cropping it in virtualdub. Is it natural when cropping a video for the size to decrease like that? I'm still trying to learn the ins and outs of virtualdub. When cropping a video what size should it be before rendering it in virtualdub? Thank you very much.

I don't understand the question... You are cropping the video to about a quarter of the original resolution and then wonder why it becomes smaller?
What is the effect you expect from cropping if not making it smaller? If perhaps you want to zoom you need to do a resize after the cropping.

May be you mean crop as Photoshop, but as Gerald said you have to resize the video.
You have to go in Filter--->Resize--->and the select what siaze you wish. |

Hi! StephanV, thanks for being so patient in answering my post. Okay, I cropped the video with null transform and used resize with a size of 720X480. However, the file is large, and will take a very long time to render. How can I get around this? Thanks again.

You can't get around the rendering time.
