Apologies from the outset as I am not very knowledgeable on this subject I downloaded a video from Youtube and want to edit it but when I tried opening the video in VirtualDub I get this message: "Couldn't locate decompressor for format "xvid" (unknown) VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. DirectShow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable" Any assistance would be greatly appreciated [/SIZE] |

Install latest version of Xvid codec (that supports lower-case FourCC's) - 1.3.0.
