I capture a video file using latest 1.4.10, with audio synced to video, standard windows drivers, 320x240.
When I "Save as AVI" using either "Direct Stream Copy" or "Full Processing" mode (no filters, no edits), the resulting file is slightly different in size and Windows Media Player cannot seek (using slider). You get "File format is Invalid". TMPGenc will not properly encode the file either. The original captured file works fine. I have reduced the problem down to the basics in order to hopefully get back to being able to edit the file. |

This is a rather annoying bug in VD1.4.10 (caused by an invalid value for the duration field in the OpenDML file header). Older versions work fine. As a workaround, save the video to an AVI file (choose "No audio" under the audio menu) and store the audio to a WAV file. In TMPGEnc, you can select the respective files as data sources and the file should encode correctly. |

@Kippesoep
do you refer to BUG: OpenDML files written with bad duration values in index? Avery has fixed this bug in VD 1.4.11.

Yep, I know. Had been eagerly awaiting 1.4.11 because of it |
