I'm using an old BT8x8 based capture card to capture some old tapes. The audio goes directly into the Line In on the audio card and I'm having this glitch with the audio where it kinda jumps on the resulting video file. Imagine some one saying "some old tapes" and in the resulting video there's this "some old tapes-apes" jump. It can happen as often as once every 5 minutes and it's the only problem on what's otherwise a perfect capture (no frame drops, no audio desync).

I absolutely consider VirtualDub the best software for capturing video (I've tried a bunch that are either bloated, buggy or both) so I wonder if this is an issue with VirtualDub as it's the best option I've found.

The software included with the capture card (an old version of WinDVR) doesn't have this audio problem (however it blends interlaced frames and tends to macroblock) so I'm posting this to see if there's any chance of it being a VirtualDub issue or has a solution otherwise.

Thanks in advance.
