Recently, I have encountered problems with the audio when capturing some old movies recorded off a Satellite receiver PVR.. Sometimes the channel shows mild interference or glitches, during bad weather, when recording it on the PVR, but not enough to lose the signal. When I try to capture it with VDub 1.9.11, from the recorded movie, sometimes when it hits those places, the audio stops recording. The video is recorded, but the recording level drops to zero, and the audio is missing during playback. Actually, if there is another glitch later on in the movie, the sound may start recording again. After several tries with one movie, I discovered the it may record through one glitch at a specific spot, but not so during another attempt. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. It still remains on the original recording, but VDub fails to capture it.
If VDub is capable of recording the video during those glitches, why does it sometimes fail to record the audio? Any response will be greatly appreciated. I will provide any info I can.
