Hi *
I use virtualdub64 for capturing my old VHS films. The device is "EZ grabber" @USB port. During capturing I can watch the film in common quality within the virtualdub window. All seems to be OK. But when I do the playback of the video (.avi) almost all is covered by stripes, see screeshot:

No matter what a player is used. I also tryed vlc and Virtualdub itself.
Anyone an idea? |

Turn on preview and preview acceleration and see if the display is OK. This displays the same raw video that VirtualDub is capturing. If this turns out garbled, then the problem is occurring during the capture; if it is OK, then it's related to the format/codec in use to write the video to the file. If you get an error that the video is in an unsupported format for this, then it's even more likely to be a codec issue. Sometimes changing the resolution can resolve that problem. |
