Hi im having major problems trying to encode certain media files in my collection. At the moment they are only in DIVX format, however i want to compress them onto Mpeg2 to stick them onto DVD.
But the problem i come up against is when i set it to go i get purple and green ghosting and phased distortion between the main moving objects in the movie.
When i open the Video in Windows Media Player it appears to play ok, but when i open it in Virtual Dub its the same and when i try to encode the Vid in Tmpgenc it encodes the Ghosting.
Does anyone know if there is a fix for this maybe i just need to apply a filter.

Just a guess ... since WMP is playing it with DirectShow filters, and VD is using VFW, you may try setting TMPGenc to use DirectShow ... then it should receive the decoded frames the same way WMP does. Can't remember where, but somewhere in the TMPGenc config dialogs is a relevant setting, I believe. |
