Use another tool that can demux (extract) the streams to avc and mpa audio. Which will parse and demux the mux of channels. AVC video can be loaded using FFMpeg Input Driver extracted to the correct virtualdub plugins folder.

Other I know Neuron2 has a dgavcdec type filter for avc. Maybe also avisynth could do this via a script. There many options and tools available to do this search for video demux tools.

But this way it is possible to reencode only 1/4 of the whole picture.

Here is the whole picture of the .ts above:

I take it you have the demuxed the video to elementary streams and now trying to encode a video stream ?

Does the picture look ok when load a demuxed video stream into virtualdub. A problem with a video encoder setting or a filter you are using !

I see the problem dloneranger are you seeing the full picture in virtualdub ?

I can at best with many crashes only see top left of the picture, if try to view more with arrow keys the video display goes grey.

Had to change to use input pane only, no auto resize, view at 100% will only show the picture no other percentage will work correctly. Other %s will show a smeared picture. The picture shows correctly and full using XP3 standard picture preview, graph edits, and other picture software's, AviDemux etc.

Many virtualdub crashes I have seen with trying this. Virtualdub crash.log showing various d3d9, EAX and Move code errors non repeatable the same. Played with virtualdub for Display_DirectX and 3D Accel etc yet not able to view better than above.

That's a weird way of broadcasting a video, must be something new for HD with larger screen sizes. What do you get with AviDemux with the video I can see the whole picture with that.

This seems to be a whole new way of broadcasting "ultra high definition television" video:

In comparison with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) which is being broadcasted as one single image, the 4K Ultra HD consists of four Full HD images (top left and right, and bottom left and right). At besides of 4K Ultra HD, there will also be 8K Ultra HD, consisting (I suppose) of 16 Full HD images.

It will be a challenge to write an import filter for such files to open them in VirtualDub (supposing these large images will be supported).

No, I was just looking at his screenshot where the image is larger than the display size and wondered if was just too big :-)
(I do a lot of spam hunting on my phone while at work, so I can't double check while I'm there)

Re DX errors
TBH, I always turn off the acceleration features for the virtualdubs display and just let it use gdi

Yeah, that look unpleasant alright
Now fccHandlers gone, there's a shortage of input plugin authors, so it might be a case of getting the video into something that can be handled by another part of the system (directshow, avisynth etc)

Hopefully there's enough sync information in the streams that we don't get a load of 'the top left corner is out of sync with the rest' problems

Maybe an Avisynth script could do this until a plugin is available such as mosaic or other

UltraHD

4k 3840×2160
8k 7680×4320
