Can someone please tell me how to take a video of length L and play it at L/10. The frame rate conversion does not work, media player does not know what to do with the file nor do other programs recognize it like facebook for example. Any input will be helpful.

Thanks

It is not immediately clear to me what you really want to do with the video: play it 10 times faster or 10 times slower ?
And what will you do with the audio ?

Nevertheless, what you can do is open your video file in VirtualDub and via Video > Frame Rate > Source rate adjustment > "Change video frame rate" to a number that is 10 times higher ("250") or lower ("2.5"), AND, at "Frame rate conversion", put the frame rate that you normally use ("25").
Than process your video to a new one via File > Save as AVI...

I basically want to speed up a video so the motion appears faster than normal life.
I have tried as you suggested with mixed results when playing back the media or trying to upload it to facebook.

I am currently using adobe after effects but I dont like the slow rendering times.
Has anyone even tried this with virtualdub with success, 10x or higher for speeding up that is?
