It always starts just a few seconds before the keyframe I select. Finally I just decided to delete the parts of the file I didn't want in the timeline. When I played back the file, the part I deleted still ended up in the file. I've tried this with multiple files now and I'm really puzzled as to why this happens? Does anybody have a possible fix for this? |

If you jump to a keyframe and then go to the next frame, does the video jump as if you moved further than 1 frame ?
If so then you're seeing the effect caused by b-frames If the codecs for the videos are xvid or divx you can change this effect
There's something called 'packed bitstreams' Divx does it one way and xvid can do it either way - depending on it's settings when created If divx decodes an xvid video (or visa-versa) then you get this jumping Fortunately, you can alter this with mpeg4 modifier at http://moitah.net/
Load one of these videos in, and look at the 'packed bitstream' box Change the tickbox from unpacked to packed (or the other way around) Save the video, and see if the newly saved file is ok
