What does it mean?

I can encode my frapsrecord.avi just fine, the x264vfw [warning]: lookaheadless mb-tree requires intra refresh appears. I can play the frapsrecord_encoded.avi just fine on my Media Player Classic, but everytime I upload it on YouTube it tells me it's an unrecognised codec.

Ok, I narrowed it down.

I was using this codec pack: http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_me...ega_codec/7428/

and those setting in vdub: http://www.abload.de/img/dons_vdub_optionstusv.jpg .

Once I updated from 5.9.0 to 6.1.0 this error appeared. What changed? 6.0.4 works just fine.

They probably had a buggy build of x264 included. This is one of the reasons why I don't bother with codec packs anymore.
