Is it possible to split a avi file in virutal dub by it's file size ?
Now I only have MS and Frames. But I've encoded a movie in DiVX 5.0.2 2-pass, and when I split the file in exact half, by it's frames the first part is 730 mb and the second 650 ?????...

Isnt there any possibility that you can say, save avi, when the file size reaches 700MB, begin a new file ...

Yes, you could use 'save segmented AVI and specify 700 MB as the file size to cut .... but unfortunately it wont cut on keyframes, so the 2nd part will very likely be unplayable or at least screwed sad.gif

However, i often used this function to get a good indication where about in the movie i have to set my cutting point. Simply play the first part in any player and note its length, so you know where to cut in the movie and can search for the nearest keyframe then ....
