i downloaded red dragon and both parts all i gte all the way though the film is a black screen i use divx. but when i go to play ice age i can watch them is the files currupt or is there suamte i should do so i can watch them |

First off we don't discuss pirated videos here. Knowing the ignorant group think the release groups prolifferate it is probably encoded in MSMPEG4 with the fourcc changed to SMR or some such so they can be "leet". Change the fourcc to match a MSMPEG4v2 or Divx3 encode and it should work fine. |

no the file was encoded in avi format i then encoded it to mpeg layer2 but still a black screen i was just wondering if the orignal file was damnaged |

Use Windows Explorer and a 'right click' 'properties' on the original AVI file to give us more info about the codecs that were used for both audio and video, as well as framerates, resolution, etc

there is no info that would be any use in properties all there is type =avi clip then locantion and size ms-dos name =_smr_r~1.avi then when it was created modifeid and accessed and nothing else
