Running VirtualDub 1.1o.4 on Windows 7 After installing , ffinputdriver-bin-0.7-32,Deshaker31, It will now open any AVI video files,,, Oh,, it never did open them.. What do I need to do to fix this..? I do have a 64 bit computer ,, but running VirtualDub 32 Thank you. DanT |

Are you selecting ffmpeg from the drop down menu before opening the source video.

| No I didn't ,,, thank you so much,, I have a lot to learn,, it opened a AVI now.. Please is there a ,,,,, easy way to learn how to work this program>>>? I can't even find how to start to save a video file so I can keep working on it without saving it as a AVI... LOL Think of me as a 65 year old with my first video camera.. Trying to learn how to take video with a radio control Quad ... And get the shaky video to stop shaking ....LOL OH,, yes I did try to read all I could,,, but ,, well ,,, I 'm having a very hard time with it...!! Thank you again,,, DanT |

Open the file. If you make changes to the video (deleting frames etc) or use a filter, you have to select a codec before saving the file. Video > Full processing mode (that's the default). Video > Compression and select a codec. VirtualDub saves AVI format;typically you would select 'XviD' as the compressor. If XviD isn't listed as available, download and install the codec.

To save, click File > Save as AVI. |
