Im not sure whats going on, but all i did was open a video (less than 100 mb large), change the volume, and save it as avi. The resulting video files are HUGE in size....for example virtual dub turned a 35 mb video into a 4gb .avi video file.
Why is it doing this? |

The default value under 'Video' is 'Full processing mode' which will output huge uncompressed files. If the video doesn't require processing (if you don't have to use a video filter), set 'Video' to 'Direct stream processing' before saving the output file.
If the video did require processing, you would leave it at 'Full processing mode' and select 'Compression' and a suitable video codec. |
