I'm working on a psychology project that requires me to show my participants a video that is either in sync or out of sync. I've just downloaded Virtual Dub and everything is in sync, but I now need to desync by 10, 20 and 30 ms in each direction.
Does anyone know how to do that and can describe how to a complete beginner? |

Load the avi into virtualdub Menu->audio->interleaving Change the 'delay audio track by' to the value you want + or - Menu->video->direct stream copy mode Menu->audio->direct stream copy mode Menu->file->save as avi
Have fun with that, it's surprisingly hard to even tell if the audio is behind or ahead of the video when they're close together
