Hi,

I got an .avi file I want to add dutch subtitles to.
After some help from YouTube biggrin.gif I finally managed to do this.
But I don't have any sound when I finished the new .avi file. I mean, I have sound and subtitles when I play the movie on my PC but don't get any sound when I play the movie on my TV.

When I open the original .avi file in VirtualDub I get the following message:
"truncated or invalid compressed audio format detected: 18 bytes, should be 36"
Could this cause this problem ? How can I solve this one ?

Thanks already.

"After some help from YouTube" does not tell us very much. Please describe how you converted the file in more detail.

It would help a lot if you would post MediaInfo reports for your input and output files. Here's the best way to post a MediaInfo report:
 • select View=Text
 • right click, select all
 • right click, copy
 • in your reply, hit the Code button to enter a "
" tag
 • paste your report.
 • click the Code button again to enter a "
" tag
