A transport... Could be different formats inside? Try open with different VirtualDub plugins:
\plugins32\MPEG2.vdplugin \plugins32\DShowInputDriver.vdplugin \plugins32\FFInputDriver.vdplugin
(in worst cases I try to demux or index file with MeGUI then just tell VirtualDub to open .avs script)
If video appears interlaced, try IVTC (29.97>23.976) or bob doubler (25>50 fps) or just deinterlace (29.97>29.97) or encode interlaced (--tff (or --bff) --no-weighttp x264 parameter) - maybe bad for IVTC (or let MeGUI analyse interlacing if you trust it)
Yes, and get x264vfw for VirtualDub too. Otherwise your success in getting smaller filesize is cloudy, meow. |
