Hello to everybody from Italy i hope this topic is in the right place. I' ve just build my homemade telecine Machine following this website: www.movie2video.com now, i have my file .AVI and i'd like to improve quality, like this www.vimeo.com/user678523/videos/sort:newest. I know is possibile using Avisynth and Virtualdub (even if i can't understand why using AdobePremiere CS5 is worse than Avisynth filters....). Then, i've read instructions but i can't go on. Is there a guide for dummies? The problem is that Freddy Van de Putte (http://vimeo.com/user678523) made some .avs script (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=144271). i open the first one, modify the AVI path (with notepad) and then i load avs file in VirtualDub. Perfect: i can see on the left the original, on the right the new one. Now: how can i change parameter and see the result? How can i save my new AVI( save avi doesn't go)? Sorry, but i'm a very beginner and i need help. Thnaks |

>how can i change parameter and see the result? You have your Avisynth script open in your text editor and at the same time, open in VirtualDub; now make a change in the text editor, save the file, and go to VirtualDub. Under "File," hit "Reopen video file." The script will reload and you can see your changes.
P.S. say no to notepad; get a better text editor. I like TextPad for all types of text editing. There is also AvsPmod, which is focused on Avisynth script editing and is free.
>How can i save my new AVI( save avi doesn't go)? Not sure what you mean here - "File," "Save as AVI" is greyed out, even though you can see the video? What compression codec are you using? For a quick start, try my VirtualDub tutorial - it will help you save a file at least. |
