What do you do when you know you have the right codec for a file but it still won't open? |

When you open it try using the extended open options.
fccHandler: Why do you say that, I say smash it with a hammer and then reinstall Windows.

Well what file is it?And what codec does it need to open?Usually the thing is that some other codecs you have in your pc may interfere with that.Try uninstalling some similar codec or reinstalling the one you think the file needs.Reinstalling windows is certainly not neccessary. What's exactly the error that comes up when you try opening the file? |
