Hi, Guys I"m sure this Has been asked Before But all the Things I have tried Haven"t worked..When I go into Capture Mode and I go to Set My Color Space to YUY2 then I go and Choose a YUY2 Codec to capture with As I have Many But it only Shows a Couple that I have, It Shows those Mpeg-4 Codecs and a DivX 5 Codec a PicVideo Mjpeg codec and One DV Codec, But I also Know I have Intell YUV Codec and 3 other Software DV codecs that work with YUY2 Like Sony Pasonic and Adaptec, and aMatroX Mpeg2-I Frame codec and Others that I use with other Capture Apps useing YUY2..Especially the DV Codecs Cuz Since I upgraded My CPU I can Capture Directly to DV at full Resolution with My Analog capture card and the Quality is Really Very Good ,it looks as Good or better than HuffyUV and about 30% as big of Files....I found a Post about eraseing a Registry entry that would make the Codecs appear but I did not have that Particular entry in My Registry, so any Tips would be Great...ThanXX |

Maybe those codecs are DirectShow only?

Nope they Are VFW Codecs that is Why I installed them, I can"t Capture to DV with an analog Capture card with Direct show DV Codecs that Is why I installed all of these VFW DV Codecs, they Capture Exelent Quality DV AVI files from My Analog Capture card, I can use Other VFW Capture apps (AVI_OI) to capture with these Codecs and then Load the Files into V-Dub without a Problem, Maybe V-Dub sees that One DV Codec is being shown and doesn"t feel the need to show the Other DV Codecs, and Maybe it sees that I have one YUV codec Shown(HuffyUV) and doesn"t feel the need to show the others..I have the "Panasonic VFW DV Codec" the "Sony VFW DV Codec" the "MainConcept VFW DV Codec" the "Adaptec VFW DV Codec" and the "MatroX VFW DV Codec" installed and Only the MainConcept one is being shown but sometimes under a Different name..Well ThanX anyways...... |
