I have a low cost firewire card from Dynalink (+win2k, ntfs), and want to capture DV.

Using Virtualdub captures, bur I can't use it. This problem is described on the project site, but is there a way to solve it?

Ulead SE is included with the card, but DV files captured with Ulead can't be used in Virtualdub.

Any suggestions?

On http://www.siig.com/knowledge/10050304.HTM I read

QUOTE
SIIG 1394 cards work with any software that supports DV AVI Type 1 or Directshow.

SIIG 1394 cards do not work with Adobe Premiere 5.x. Adobe Premiere 5.x supports DV AVI Type 2 or Video for Windows. We will not have a CODEC to support Type 2.

Is there a way to work around this? Translate?
