Any clue how I can add manually a codec to Virtualdub?
I installed that codec(over exe file and over inf file) rebootet but it doesn't show up in VD.
Any way of pointing VD to the codec?

You could try registering it manually. I believe I had to do this once with a codec some time back, lagarith? I'm on XP so I won't be familiar with the path names for the system folder of newer operating systems, if they are different.

In XP you would copy the DLL file to the system32 folder, if the file is all ready in that folder then no need to copy it, and then click the "start" button on the bottom left in the taskbar and then click on "run". In the run box type in the following, without the angled brackets:

regsvr32 /i <name of DLL file to register with the file extension>

Again, I am not familiar with the newer operating systems like 7 or 64 bit systems so whatever the system path is for those is where the file would go.

Make sure you match bitness with versions of the codec and VirtualDub (both should be 32 bit or 64 it).
