Neither will other codecs I've Dled (FFDshow pack).
So, I have a windows 7 64 bit PC and Virtualdub x64 installed, but Veedub doesn't detect x264vfw when I select compression.
It worked perfectly fine on my old Vista x64 computer.
I want the thing where the box opens up for customization (The Config App), like you can do manually if you just open it from the start menu and such.
I use VirtualDub to put my FRAPS videos together (after 3.9GB they split. VirtualDub seamlessly appends the videos <3).
BTW: I have a i7 950 CPU (3.06GHz stock) - How many threads should I say I have? It supports multithreading so....8? |

Did you install the 64bit version of x264?
Only 64bit codecs and filters work with the 64bit version if virtualdub

x264vfw is here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/x264vfw/files/ (both 32 and 64-bit)

@dloneranger
....
*smacks head*
I could have sworn I DLed the 64 bit version, but it seems I didn't.
Thank you very much kind sir (or madam?).
Works now! Wish I had bothered to check here before wasting my money on the stupid Powerproducer 9 software (I am impulsive, OK?) XD
I could still use information on how to set up multithreading on my quad core XD
EDIT: Also, I heard the newer versions (post r1145 which is what I used) weren't as good as the team split up. I cannot find the installer (GUI) for that release, I've looked everywhere, it's just the CMD version >_<
EDIT2: Because I can't find the 64bit installer version, I'm using the older 32 bit version I was apparently using on my old computer. So I'm getting about 40%+ out of my CPU (was hoping for more like 80%). Switched the multithreading from 1 to 8 (for 8 logical cores). |

1) Go here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/x264vfw/files/ 2) Click on x264vfw64 3) Click on 30_1867bm_26400 4) Click on x264vfw64_30_1867bm_26400.exe
Now you have the 64-bit installer.
If you want more options, you can use the komisar build: http://komisar.gin.by/old/1834/x264vfw.183...eric.x86_64.exe (site: http://komisar.gin.by/)

EDIT: Never mind, I didn't realize that the link at the bottom was the extended GUI version (which has everything I need, I think).
I thought it was your sig or something XD
Thanks dood, works a treat so far as I can tell |
