Well, I've found something really strange. I'm runing Win98SE and have several codecs installed under windows. I'm able to view various mpeg formats, divx etc in media player. But, when I open up Virtual Dub, go to Video, then Compression to pick a compression format so I can save disk space..... lo and behold look what shows up..... NO CODECS!!!!! Anyone ever experience this and how do I fix it? See below if you don't believe me, several others did not until I showed them a screenshot:

OMG, I hope you are not really capturing with all that stuff in the tray!
Anyway, try setting your video format to YUY2 instead of UYVY. (Use "set custom format" if necessary.) Also, have you installed the Huffyuv codec? I'm pretty sure it supports UYVY.
