Compressing Audio?, Why can't I choose MP3 format?

When I go to compress files I set the video to the Divx codec but when I choose the audio codec, I select MPEG Layer 3 and nothing is listed...in fact, only about 3 of the dozen or so codecs I can choose have anything listed. I captured my audio 44100 kHz, 16 bit, Stereo.

Do you have the Fraunhoffer Mp3 codec installed?????
