Hi.
Odd problem I am experiencing, which wasn't happening until today.
Running xp pro, capturing with vdub and huffyuv (lastest of both). The codec shows up correctly in the device manager and in dxdiag, however it isn't available on the list when selecting video compression from inside vdub.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the codec several times, to no avail. Anyone else ever experienced this? |

there are 2 options:
1. the video formay doesn't match huffyuv. 2. it's a known xp problem that sometimes codecs 'dissappear' spontaniously. there's a simple registry fix for that. check out the forum on http://forum.doom9.org and search for 'disappear codec xp*' i think you should find the link. |

I tried a number of searches on doom9's forums, including the one you gave me, but wasn't able to find anything.
My source is 640x480 interlaced, 29.97fps, YUV2. Additionally, I've noticed that the only PicVideo encoder that shows up is the MJPEG one, even though I have both the wavelet and lossless codecs installed as well, so I think there must be something else going on here (such as the potential bug you mentioned?)
Thanks! |
