What program is best in order to convert an AVI file to a VCD or MPEG - 1 file. I've tried out a few, but none of them work all too well. |

I used the TMPGEnc program and it worked easy enough. However, I have a film (dvd-rip widescreen format) at a resolution of 640 pixels x 256 pixels. How can I, if possible, keep the resolution constant instead of making conform to the NTSC/NTSC Film/PAL standards of different resolution? |

Use TMPGEnc then load the extra/unlock.mcf template, you can then make changes to the compliant template.
However if you produce a non standard VCD it may not play at all in a DVD player.
Better to adjust the screen via Setting > Advance > Clip frame... |
