I was going to go with the Flip Ultra SD and then the Sony Webbie/Bloggie, then a MiniDV. The closest one I came to that I liked but has audible clicks when autofocusing/panning is the Sony Webbie. The Webbie also has a sound issue where the sound levels flounders, goes up and down, not a constant level.

The mini cameras are OK but they don't appear to be able to replace a DV camera. Practically all of the "HD" stuff uses CMOS sensors which make the videos wobble and distort like crazy. The HD cameras seem more sensitive to this than the SD versions.

Is there a pocket camera that uses a CCD sensor? I haven't found one myself as of yet.

Looking at video samples of different pocket cams on Youtube isn't accurate unless you enable 720 and beyond resolutions for viewing. My problem is that videos playing online at and above 720 stutter whereas I don't get that happening when playing them on my local computer. Is this because of online bottlenecks like throttled bandwidth by the ISP, HD codecs playing online, or both?

HD on Youtube seems like a contradiction to me.

I had also been thinking of just staying with my old Sony trv280 and just use what money I have saved up for more memory, 4gb, I currently have 2gb.
