I have VDub 1.10.4 frameserving an AVI from an XP machine to a Win 7 Pro machine where I'm trying to open the signpost (.avi) in another VDub 1.10.4
When I select the file I get: AVI Import Filter error: (Unknown) (80004005).
It doesn't seem to matter wether I use no compression or specify compression, the resulting signpost cannot be opened by VDub on Windows 7.
I have installed FFDshow (including VFW) and AVIFile Input Driver but nothing seems to work. It's possible the AVIFile Input Driver isn't installed properly because it said "installation failed" so I manually created the registry entries.
Would appreciate some help. It seems strange VDub can't even open one of it's own files.
PS:
I can open the signpost with another copy of VDub on the serving machine so it seems to definitely be something missing on Win 7. |
