I'm not sure if this is a question or a feature request, so I'll just post it here & see what I get.
I currently use Virtualdub to extract a small range of frames, which I then refine in Photoshop to make a coherent loop (for GIFs). At the moment, to actually loop back a series of frames I have to export them, then import them into something that can play back frames in a loop (Photoshop, GIMP, or whatever).
I wondered if it was possible to preview the loop directly in Virtualdub? Or if it isn't possible would it be feasible for me to mod the code (I haven't done any Win32 in years) to go back to the selection start point when the play marker hits the selection end position? (My ranges are usually small enough that the frames are cached). |

Sounds like a useful feature! I suggest that for now though, you export your rough tests as animated GIF (File, Export, Animated GIF). Set your GIF frame rate under Options, Preferences, Images. Make your final product with image sequences as before. |
