De-flicker Causes Slow-mo Playback, what am I doing wrong?

I just discovered Virtualdub and gave it a try. I have avi files from transferred 8mm film and attempted to apply the de-flicker filter to a short 5 second segment.

I followed the directions to the best of my knowledge, and when playing back the resulting file, it plays in "slow-mo", much slower than the original source file.

Any suggestions as to how to remedy this?

Thanks for all input.
