Whenever I try to open an AVS file in VirtualDub, it says:
Avisynth open failure AVIFileSource: couldn't open file (C:\windows\desktop\tvshow.avs, line 2)
Please help. |

Do you have latest AVISynth installed ? Its coming with Gordian Knot from www.doom9.org in the installer, or search on sourceforge.net for avisynth ( maybe http://sf.net/projects/avisynth ) ....

Could you post your script? Can't tell much without it.

I am having a similar problem, but only in VirtualDub 1.5.4. I have tried it under 1.5.2 and it seems to work fine. The error I get is
AviSynth open failure: Unrecognized Exception! (C:\avsfile1.avs, line 1)
My script reads:
MPEG2Source("C:\decode1.d2v") Telecide() Decimate(5)
I get the same error if I use AviSynth 2.5 or older versions, and I have never had this problem before I tried using version 1.5.4. Any ideas?
Edit:
Ok, so I guess I do have the same problem in 1.5.2 also. It's wierd, if I open an .avs file right after I launch VDub, it works fine, but if I try to open it after I have already opened something else, I get that error. Could it be something with my AVISynth setup?
