Virtuldub Crashes On "capture Avi..."

Hallo,

my VirtualDub 1.5.3 crashes on choosing the menu "Capture AVI...". I get a black sreen and have to reboot my PC again. Configuration:

AMD Athlon XP1600+ on K7S5A
nvidia gforce MX420 64MB
256 MB RAM
Pinnacle PCTV Rave

Maybe it has something to do with the grafic adapter? Thanks for your answers.
