1. Error result in direct stream copy To repeat the bug: open source file (http://sswroom.uhome.net/test-.avi) Video > direct stream copy Save AVI (VirtualDub will be halt when finished) The last frame of the output file is a drop frame instead of delta frame.
2. Error in an error message To repeat the bug: Save AVI to a file used by other programs. The message does not show the file name correctly. |

Yes, bug #1 freezes my VirtualDub also.
Bug #2, I'm not sure what you mean.

I have tested these bugs again in Windows 98SE. (Last time, I test in Windows XP SP1) 1. This file will not halt in Windows 98. But last frame is still wrong. Last frame in source is "2" but the frame in the output file is a drop frame ("1").
2. The message is correct in Windows 98. I think this maybe an internal bug of Windows XP itself. |

I've mailed a bug report to VirtualDub's author.

Both bugs will be fixed in 1.5.4. The second bug actually isn't XP-specific -- if it ever displayed the correct filename, it was through sheer luck. (The exception throwing code never passed the filename to the formatter!) |
