I am running Win98SE/FAT32 and VirtualDub 1.5.3-MPEG2-AC3 by fccHandler...
First, the .VOB is no longer there, in the Open FIle Menu ??? Is this on purpose ??!!...
Second, When I run a VOB to DIVX (5.05) job, the program stalls at 100% and does not go to the next job ??!!.. I have to close down the program, and manualy run the next job... This NOT a problem with VirtualSub 1.5.1-MPEG2-AC3 by fccHandler !!!.. Bug ???...
Otherwice great job fccHandler

Nope, my goof; I fixed that today and uploaded a fixed version.

Hmm, I saw it stall today on one particular MPEG2 file I have. I haven't been able to make it stall with any of my MPEG1 files, thus I can't try to reproduce it with the unmodified VirtualDub 1.5.3 (since it won't open my MPEG2), thus I can't tell yet if it's something in the new Dub code or something in my code.
I've noticed that if the program stalls under Win98 and you have to use CTRL+ALT+DEL to shut it down, you must reboot afterwards, or else it begins to stall with other files that don't stall normally. This fact is making it hell to debug, but I'm working on it.

OK, this morning I finally got it to stall with an MPEG1 file, but the same file does not stall in the unmodified 1.5.3. This definitely points to something in my MPEG code.
(damn)
I don't know if it's related to the stalling that Sajal and others have reported, but in my case it isn't even necessary to start a job; simply playing the file to the end in preview mode will cause it to stall.

In my case the source file doesn't matters. Somehow it is occuring only with picvideo mjpeg codec and not with any other codecs so far, and I'm getting it constantly with the latest version both yours(fcchandler's) and with the original one, can you check it out with the codec, by the way as I stated earlier versions of Virtualdub doesn't have this problem.
Any Ideas

I've now reproduced the stall with the unmodified VirtualDub 1.5.3 with both MPEG1 and MJPEG, and I emailed Avery Lee about it. As far as I can tell, whether it stalls seems to depend very much on the CPU load. For instance, I have one file that stalls at the end when you play it using the "output playback" button, but it does not stall when you use the "input playback" button. Go figure.
