Most plugins don't show on that screen On the open video file dialog, select the file you want, change the 'files of type' to the plugin you wish to use If you need options, tick the 'ask for extended options...' box before clicking 'open' Click 'open'

Thanks for the reply, FFInputDriver now works perfectly! Previously, the plugins from fccHandler opened the video files without installing additional codecs. But im migrate to win8.1 and now its show missing codec. This plugins need external codecs (e.g. k-lite) or no? |

I while ago, I gave a little bit more explanation to clarify these things: > http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act...ST&f=15&t=22230
ffcHandlers plugins are making use of 'video for windows' decoders that were available in Windows operating systems like Windows 95 and a few later. More recent operating systems do not have them anymore by default. You may still install the needed decoders one by one (individually) or via a package, like K-Lite or ffdshow-tryouts. Personally I would not recommend to install whole packages, but rather one by one.
VirtualDub is able to practically open any kind of video-format by using the FFMPeg plugin recently debugged and brought up-to-date by dloneranger. This plugin has a subfolder with a number of dll's that enable it to decode audio and video.
If you want to make use of the nowadays decoders embedded in Windows 7 / 8, you may install the DirectShow plugin for VirtualDub. > http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act...=ST&f=7&t=15093
By default, VirtualDub can only save video-files in AVI-(container)format. To compress video and audio into this format, you may need to install one or more additional "video for windows"-codec(s) like x264vfw or xVid, and "ACM" audio-codec(s). > http://sourceforge.net/projects/x264vfw/files/ > https://www.xvid.com/download/ > http://sourceforge.net/projects/fcchandler/files/ |

Very thanks! i love to use multimedia software with build-in codecs (e.g. Avidemux, MPC-HC, VLC, etc) and now i will use ffmpeg-based plugins (earlier a similar situation I have it with Audacity editor). |
