I'm trying to export a timelapse sequence. Without a specific reason (sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't) it crashes and this message appears: Out of memory (unable to allocate xxx bytes).
What can be the problem? |

When you are exporting a piece of an AVI videofile, you can best set the Video- and the Audio-menu of VirtualDub to "Direct stream copy". In that way there is no re-compression needed and the existing compression will stay.
Probably you are exporting while Video- and Audio-menu are set to "Full processing mode" and you did not set the Compression.... (codec) via the Video- and Audio-menu. Uncompressed video + audio can take up a lot of diskspace. I guess that can be the cause of your problem.
TIP: When selecting pieces of video to remove/delete via VirtualDub, try to every time ending your selection to just before a Key-frame (K). |
