1. VirtualDub 1.10.x (currently 35486 build)*
2. Open video file (creating test-video won't work)
3. Add filter "interpolate" with setting "Interpolation mode: Nearest frame (dublicate)"
4. Fun (add "flip vertically" filter to normal)

*VirtualDub 1.9.11 is not affected.

So, if Interpolate is in the chain, Flip does not work. Order not important. Weird.
BTW, if you add a second Flip filter, the second one will do the job.

haha, no, interpolate flips image all by itself.

Also, AVI files only affected - not MKV, FLV or MP4.
Could be something wrong with AVISynth, DirectShow or...?

Shoot, didn't check without Flip.

Interpolate / nearest > flipped
Interpolate / linear blending > OK

AviFile input > flipped
DirectShow input plugin > flipped
FFmpeg input plugin > flipped

Avisynth / AviSource > OK
Avisynth / FFmpegSource2 > OK
