Hi,
the screen capture function does not work for me.
The preview and actual output of the capture area is a solid black, with the exception of the mouse cursor, which is recorded properly.
Other devices, such as my webcam, work as they should. Only Screen capture is affected.
I am running Win 7 Enterprise x64 sp1. The error occurs equally with vdub 1.9.11 and 1.10, both x86 and x64.
I used a fresh download, I did not change any of the default settings except the capture device of course. Playing around with the capture area or format settings did not improve anything either. |

As far as I know, all Windows flavours are able to do a simple screen capture - you don't need VirtualDub to do it.
Simple keyboard combinations - Ctrl+PrintScrn captures the whole screen, including the task bar. Alt+PrintScrn captures the current window in focus.
The mouse pointer is not included in the capture. The image is saved in your clipboard to paste into any graphics package.

Obviously, I am talking about a video recording of the screen, this being the VDub forum and all. |
