See this: http://www.outburst-audio.com/maik/vd-pink.png

Say thanks to decompressor. Whichever opens DX50 on your machine.
...And to compressor, probably, too...

Consider upgrading/change.

CODE
User Data / Metadata

[JUNK] VirtualDub build 32568/release
[INAM] Kitchen Stories
[USER] Lavc51.54.0

Lavc51.54.0 -- ?...
This looks like the deeds of some devious payware based on libavcodec.

___
P.S.: To me video is OK (well...), no pinks here. Just two cyan pixels in the bottom scanline. My decompressor is supposed to be ffdshow revision 3040.

What has the decompressor to do with it? It only happens if "High precision output" is enabled. So I guess it's something in that code.

I don't know what "Lavc51.54.0" is. Original file got encoded by the guys from http://www.onlinetvrecorder.com ...

This is most likely an issue in the D3D display driver.

Right click on the display pane and set it to Bilinear filtering -- still see it?

Also, what specific model of card do you have? I need to know if it is a GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9... series.

You're right -> with "Bilinear" or "Point" it doesn't happen. So it only happens with "Bicubic" + "High precision conversion"

I'm using a XFX GeForce 7600GS.

Playing the same file in Media Player Classic Homecinema (VMR9 + 3D surfaces + Bicubic A=-1.00) doesn't give me these pink lines/dots.

Btw: It's not just pink lines/dots always. Also green, orange, blue ...

Alright, took me a while to figure out what's going on. This is a long-standing issue with the bicubic filter, but it's made worse by high precision mode because of the 16F texture format. To fix it I need to tesselate the geometry, and that's a change I probably won't make prior to at least 1.9.6.

Ok. Thanks for confirming the issue!
