Hi,

I just installed VirtualDub, DivX, GKnot and the other tools. I ripped a movie, then i selected the 2-pass option using the DivX 5.02 codec. When the first pass was ready, i tried to make the second pass. I waited for 2-3 minuted and suddenly an error message appeared that said "Visual C++ LIbrary Problem. C:/..../VDub.exe. Abnormal Program Termination" (or something). I tried to make the second pass a couple of times and with different movies but the same thing happened. What's wrong and how can i fix this problem? By the way, i am running Windows ME.
Please respond as soon as you can because my internet connection ends in a couple of days!
Harry

I am having a similiar problem. I was trying to do a 2 pass encode of some captured video and got the same type error message. I tried the whole process over more than once and got the same result. Very frustrating putting in many hours of preparation and encoding time to have it fail. The one thing in common with "harryt" is I to am running on WinME. Any help would be greatly appreciated or maybe I need to upgrade to 2K or XP. Hate to go thru the time and expense to end up with the same result.
