Hi,

I've seached in this and other forums, VDub and VDubMod FAQs, etc., and couldn't find an answer.

The problem is:

Every time VDubMod 1.5.10.1 finishes an encoding pass an error dialog box pops up:

-------------------------------------
Virtualdub error
-------------------------------------
Cannot open file "":
The specified path is not valid

OK
-------------------------------------

After closing the dialog VDubMod proceeds normally. Ther's no crash or crash log, and the ogm file is OK. I'm (still) running W98SE with most updates.

I've done some testing with a 300 frame DivX5.1.1 encoded NTSC video and OGG audio source in an AVI wrapper (so I could compare with VirtualDub tests).

I've run DivX5.1.1 STD multipass 1st pass encoding in VDubMod 1.5.10.1 (build 2366) and 1.5.4.1 (build 2066), and also in VirtualDub 1.5.10 build 18160 and 1.5.4 build 16297.

Results:
------------
VDubMod 1.5.10.1, save as AVI: No error, encoding speed 10 fps
VDubMod 1.5.10.1, save as OGM: ERROR, encoding speed 9 fps
VDubMod 1.5.10.1, save as MKV: No error, encoding speed 9 fps
VDubMod 1.5.4.1, save as AVI: No error, encoding speed 20 fps
VDubMod 1.5.4.1, save as OGM: No error, encoding speed 20 fps
VDubMod 1.5.4.1, save as MKV: No error, encoding speed 20 fps
-------------
VirtualDub 1.5.10, save as AVI: No error, encoding speed 20 fps
VirtualDub 1.5.4, save as AVI: No error, encoding speed 20 fps

So, it seems that VDMod 1.5.10.1 only has issues saving to OGM, and runs at half speed compared to version 1.5.4.1.

I've checked the file structure on my system, My Documents folder integrity, tried other encoding utilities (DVX, Fairuse, DVD2SVCD, etc.), and everything runs fine, except for VDMod 1.5.10.1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot,

Bruno
