(Sorry for my english, i'm a frog eater)
Hello,
I use VDM 1.5.10.1 (build 2389 or 2366)
I encode audio MP3 VBR of my DivX in MP3 CBR. Only of time to other the file obtained does not comprise the totality of the audio track : Only approximately 1/4 of the audio is present.
I reboot the computer and I close the useless totality of the programs, but it's the same problem. And then, a few days after, as by miracle, that's ok !
I suppose that this bug is known, but I English understands very badly, so excuse me. Somebody has you found this problem? And found the solution? PS: by using version 1.5.4.1 no problem |

I also used 1.5.10, but it took only two weeks. Then, i went back to 1.5.4.1. The reason was several minor problems, but i've never experienced the yours....

sounds strange... i might suggest that somebody & somehow prepared several video segments, each was of VBR MP3, and then joined them into a single file. say, the yours magic 1/4 was just the point where the audio segments were improperly merged. but i can not imagine that you did not install/deinstall something during the days which preceded 'the miracle'.

i must confess i've neither met such a bug before nor heard about it from other people. you are definitely more lucky...

Actually, the problem is not too easy to reproduce. i'll try this evening to test whether my suggestion is reasonable or not, but anyway... the general approach which i use on any audio problems consists in (i) demuxing soundtrack, (ii) converting it to WAV -> CBR MP3 (actually, i prefer OGG) by external audio editors and then (iii) muxing the recompressed audio back. Well, i must confess i wrote absolutely useless post... the only use is you have obtained an anwer whatever useless it looks. Good luck!

It's an idea, but it's more Fast converting VBR -> CBR with 1.5.4.1 without this bug, and Player DVD/DIVX 737 philips, do not accept OGG
I'll be back with beer |
