As we all know, when VirtualDub loads a VOB file the audio can go out of sync. However, it doesn't always, and I've noticed a pattern. A VOB with a framerate of 23.976 will suddenly go out of sync after a minute or two. However, one with a framerate of 29.97 will stay in sync all the way through. It always works this way.

This may only apply to DVD rips, but I thought it a bit odd to be a coincidence. Granted, I'm using an old build(16401), but I thought I'd post it anyway, hoping it might help in devising a solution...

I wish it were that simple, but I've seen many exceptions to that rule and I'm sure that in your case it's just coincidence. The real reasons for the desync are explained here:
