Hello!
When I try to encode VOB file with ac3 strem VDMod 1.5.10.1 (latest bugfix release) gives me, that there is no ac3 decompressor found.
I gat PowerDVD 5.0 and that doesn't happend vith version 1.5.4.1.
Is it a bug in VDMod?
Have anybody the same problem?

No.
I'v been using VDMod for quite som time now and newer had these problem.
I tested latest version on 2 diferent VOB's and every time is same error. "No ac3 decompressor found"
Version 1.5.4.1 decompress ac3 and encode VOB with no problem.
So I am going back to that version. |

Now thatīs interesting. At first I thought you might have uninstalled the codec.
Hm. Version 1.5.10.1 - how new is it? Newer than a week? I know that I have some version 1.5.10 at home, but I donīt know which one - with it AC3 worked, though.
Could you try if VDub (the regular one) can find the AC3 codec? If so, itīs a bug.

You have to install my codec to play AC-3 in VirtualDub, or the latest VirtualDubMod.

I understand that i need your codec for playing ac3 in VirtualDub.
But do I need it too for VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.1 (latest) release?
Because version 1.5.4.1 VDMod is working fine to decompressing ac3 without your codec.
Is it a change in latest VDMod that is not working on my system and it requires your codec to decompress ac3? |

Yes, you missed this line in the change log:
