Hi,

I am new to virtualDubMod, but not to virtual dub!

I downloaded the 1.5.4.1 all inclusive zip file from sourceforge. When clicking on virtualDubMod.exe (after install) I got only an error message saying : libpng.dll not found on this path.

But libpng.dll was not included in the zip file. I was googeling, but could not find a place to download this file. Where can I get it?

The above problem referrs to an install in a empty folder, as the package is named ALL INCLUSIVE !!!

When trying to install in a folder containing virtualDub (i.e.vd 1.5.9) I am NOT getting this error, allthough the file libpng.dll is nowhere on my system! But then the audio menue unavailable. It should appear when right clicking the stream shown in Streams/stream list. But doing so nothing happens no submenue where to select audio options!!!

Thanks in advance for your hints

My system: NT4.0 sp6a on duron 900, works fine with vDub!

There is the 'necessary DLLs' package on the virtualdubmod download site on sourceforge, it should include it ....

Same problem here. I dunno why this happened - VDM was working just fine until I "upgraded" to 1.5.x. Now all versions seem to want this "libpng.dll" - I had to scour Google to find this dang thing - then the Audio menu is STILL gone! Audio is really the only good feature IN VirtualDubMod! (the ability to mux an MP3 into the file)
