1) If you only have this phenomenon with this particular AVI then I should suspect the video itself.
2) If you also have this phenomenon with other AVI's encoded with identical codec (DivX, Xvid, H264, ...) then I should suspect the actual decoder. In this case, try to open the AVI with another decoder by using the FFMpeg or the DirectShow plugin for VirtualDub. Please read following thread for more info on how to download and install these plugins: > http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act...=ST&f=3&t=22267
The preview window at the left normally shows the original video, the preview window at the right shows the video after filters have been applied. So, if no filters are applied, the preview in these windows should be exactly the same. If one or more filters or adaptation of colors are being applied, the preview at the right can be different in comparison with the one at the left. You can always verify which filters are active via Video > Filters... and whether changes in colordepth are applied via Video > Color Depth... |

it's not the video Abrazo. i've tryed all the video files on virtualdub. still... it's virtualdub it self. the prevouse virtualdub didn't do that. all of the video files are fine. when i play back on virtualdub it shifts to right corner. |

You might want to use an image host that doesn't require registration - I'm not registering just to see a picture and I guess I'm not the only one who doesn't want to

In the options untick all the directx checkboxes menu->options->preferences->display
see if that helps

It matters if we can't see your posted images - you might as well not bother otherwise Did you try disabling the directx options or not?
[edit] You know what, I can't be bothered to help

@dloneranger Thanks for trying to help. Myself I had no problem to open that picture (on flickr) showing the problem. A direct link to it: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7326/1388183...090e3ffaf_h.jpg
@yugioh_ If you do not have this problem with previous versions of VirtualDub, then probably Phaeron will be one of the few people who can tell what matters...

OK. Now it is clear to me what you mean:
When the parameter "Avoid tearing (enable vsync)" is checked in VirtualDub 1.10.x via Options > Preferences... > Display, then when playing the video (= NOT preview, but really "play" via the Input playback button) then (everyway at my computer) the upper +/- 10% of the image is missing.
If that same parameter is NOT checked, then the image is correct.
This problem is NOT there in VirtualDub 1.9.11. |
