It would be nice if the internal filters were in the Plugins folder with all the other filters instead of built in to Virtualdub. Most of the internal filters, I never ever use and only use a handful of filters. It would be nice if I could move all the unused filters into an unused folder (or even the Plugins/Bin folder) and just have the filters that I do use load at start up so that I don't have to wade through twenty or so other filters to get to the ones that I want to use.

Not sure how hard it would be or if there was already a way to make them active/inactive that I am not aware of.

BTW, I just started playing with the "Perspective" filter and this is a filter that I have been looking for for a while. Kind of like the scale filter in Photoshop where you can stretch a frame that has black bars or a watermark where the rest of the movie doesn't. In Blend Mode with the Curve Editor, you can stretch the frames to match the rest of the movie. I can see myself using this filter a lot. Removes the need to crop the whole movie when only a section needs to be fixed or use the logoaway filter which leaves the video looking less than satisfactory. Thanks!

You can kind of do it

Start virtualdub and just add all your most used filters to the filter list (put them in the order you normally use them) and then untick them all
(Optionally, set you normal compressor, and any other settings)
Then 'save prrocessing settings' to a file, lets just call it c:\mysettings.vdscript for now

Create a shortcut to virtualdub
Right click that shortcut and select properties
At the end of the target text box, add /s "c:\c:\mysettings.vdscript"
Click the ok button

Now, when you start virtualdub from that shortcut, it'll use those settings
The filter list will have your filters in and all you need to do is tick the one(s) you want to use
(the unticked ones are ignored)

ps
nice tip for the perspective filter, never thought of that!
